Production Line/Operations Staff

Job Description:
The Production Line and Operations staff works in the warehouse, canning, and brewing areas of the distillery where they safely and efficiently package Harvey Distilling Co. Vodka Coolers to be distributed across the province.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operates various line functions for mixing, canning and packaging during each assigned shift
  • Performs daily cleaning and sanitization of all production equipment and facilities
  • Ensures production quality standards are met during daily work
  • At the end of each shift, leave the production area tidy, organized and prepared for the next day’s line operations
  • Inspects and sanitizes equipment to ensure serviceability and cleanliness prior to filling with product
  • Assists supervisor to perform raw material audits at the end of each shift to ensure ample inventory for next day’s line operations; reports inventory issues to supervisor
  • Constructs boxes needed for packaging
  • Stacks and palletizes cases of coolers for distribution
  • Adheres to all health and safety policies and procedures
  • Role may include, at the supervisior’s discretion, operating and performing set-ups on a variety of production equipment, which could include labelling machines, mixing and canning equipment and/or forklift driving
  • Undertakes other duties as assigned by the supervisor that may include storefront sales/customer service, some deliveries and marketing outreach as needed.


  • Excellent teamwork skills
  • Able to work collaboratively as a team or individually
  • Able to stand for an extended period of time
  • Able to lift up to 25lbs
  • Good hand dexterity to be able to efficiently construct boxes and adhere labels, and/orscrape off labels
  • Ability to follow health and safety policies and procedures
  • Good communication skills in English
  • Valid driver’s license along with a clean driver abstract and access to a vehicle

Working Conditions:

  • Overtime and/or shift work may be required
  • Must be able to work days, evenings, nights and/or some weekends
  • Frequent bending and lifting
  • Must have good grip strength, reaching and flexibility
  • Working environment can become very warm in summer, must be able to tolerate heat for sustained periods
  • Steel-toed boots are required
  • Must be able to tolerate eye protection required at certain stations
  • Requires stamina, physical strength and dexterity
